Rob's musical influence era (age range 15 to 20) was when Led Zep, Cozy Powell and Thin Lizzy, etc., were releasing new albums. It was inevitable that he would bash things with sticks and eventually move from the south coast to Redditch (John Bonham's town). His early band Statique ended in 1982. He then made a shock return to drums with The Lightning in Jan 2012 after 30 years in the wilderness.

Age: Evidence given
Favourite radio show: Alan Freeman, although he hasn't been on for a while
Favourite television show: Thunderbirds. Everybody knows where they were the day this launched.
Equipment: Pearl Masters birch
Zildjian cymbals
DW pedals
Other stuff: Rob is constantly modernised by his younger family who remind him that there is some good music around today (mmm, but not like it was...). He is also something of a closet astronomer, having worked for the BAA, and is a fellow of the RAS, and reads astrophysics books for fun! But, more normally he likes curry and beer and rock and roll, not to mention much more.
